The Burton Heritage Society hosts the fourteenth annual Texas Ranger Day in historic Burton, Texas at the Burton Railroad Depot, 507 N Railroad Street, on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from noon to 5pm. Celebrate Burton’s history with an afternoon of activities including tasty food at the Annie Maud Avis Memorial Chili and Bean cook-off, demonstrations by the Legends of the Texas Rangers and McNelly's Rangers, folklife demonstrations including blacksmithing and chuckwagon cooking, kids activities, mule driven buggy rides, DJ music by the Kountry Chick, vendors and tours of the historic Railroad Depot, as well as the Burton Farmers Cotton Warehouse. Proceeds will restore our second historic site, the Mt. Zion Historic Chapel. Food tickets $15/adults and $10/kids ages 6-10. More info visit www.burtonheritagesociety.org
