Texas License to Carry Course

Texas License to Carry Certification course; includes classroom instruction and proficiency qualification. You will learn the laws related to carrying a handgun in the State of Texas and take a proficiency shooting test. Deposit of $20 due today and the remaining balance will be due the day of classroom instruction or proficiency qualification; whichever is scheduled first.

For the safety of our instructors and class members, we feel it is better to perform the range proficiency on a 1 to 1 or 1 to 2 (Spouse/Friend) ratio. This ensures that clients that do not have the highest experience level are given full attention and can perform their proficiency with minimal distraction, the highest level of safety, and complete supervision. Due to this belief, We will schedule proficiency examinations by appointment only before the classroom portion is completed or up to 2 weeks after. If special accommodations are needed, please feel free to reach out to us and we will do our best to respect those on an individual basis.

Note: This is not a course to teach you how to shoot or be proficient at shooting your handgun. You should already be proficient before taking this course. If you feel you need additional instruction prior to the LTC Course, then we can provide a LTC Prep Course for an additional cost. This course will provide the needed instruction to get you prepared for the LTC with some additional defensive shooting instruction.

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel this course if we do not meet a minimum class of 10 student attendance.

Things to bring to class...

Classroom: Pen and Paper for notes recommended (not required). There will be a written test.

Range: Handgun of choice (revolver/semi-automatic), hearing/eye protection (prescription glasses can be used), minimum of 50 rounds of ammunition for the qualification. A ball cap is recommended to help with deflecting stray brass (round casings) and comfortable shoes as there will be standing more than 30min.
