The class contains four instruction modules, required by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) and are outlined below:• Handgun use and safety, including use of restraint holsters
• Laws that relate to weapons and to the use of deadly force
• Non-violent dispute resolution
• Proper storage practices for handguns
Student must complete a mandatory shooting proficiency with the minimum score of 175.
You do not have to own a firearm to take the class.
No firearms are allowed in the classroom.
