In exchange, Texas sends RGV’s own 2nd round pick in the 2024 NBA G League Draft, previously acquired via trade. Mayer (6-9, 225, Illinois) has played 29 games with the Vipers this season averaging 4.3 points, 1.6 rebounds. After playing 4 years at Baylor and winning an NCAA Championship, Mayer transferred to Illinois for his final season, earning All-Big Ten Third Team honors.
