About Texas Health Steps:
Texas Health Steps improves the health and well-being of children birth though age 20. Comprehensive medical and dental check ups and preventative services place the children on Texas on a path of preventative health thoughout their lifetime.
About the regional staff:
Regional provider relations staff help operate Texas Health Steps statewide. Provider Relations staff report to the Specialized Health and Social Services managers in each of the 8 DSHS Public Health Services regions. These staff serve many functions including developing relationships with providers in the area, provider recruitment and retention, provider visits, technical assistance, contact documentation and data collection, formal provider training, expert forums and other events, provider relations reports and collaborating with our community partners.
