Join the Empowerment CDC/Texas African American Museum as we celebrate National African American Appreciation Music Month.
This is a free event, seating is limited and you must have a ticket to enter.
This year's celebration will occur at The Kingdom Church in the North Tyler Historical Cultural Arts District. The festival will be co-hosted by Mr. DeMarcus Walker, the 2023 recipient of the Texas African American Museum Arthur "Dooley" Wilson African American Music Month Award. The 2024 recipient is Ms. Lina Wade. Lina is a native of Tyler, Texas, and a graduate of John Tyler High School. She is an R&B, soul singer, and songwriter with many credits in the music industry.
The festival will include a concert with Demarcus Walker and Friends and a ceremony to honor Ms. Lina Wade.
