Clinic Overview: Dressage Test Riding with Alison PayneThis clinic is designed to bridge the gap between training at home and the competition arena. It’s a unique chance to ride a formal test under judge’s eyes, receive immediate "why and how" feedback, and then put those corrections into practice right away.
The Format
Each session follows a progressive four-step process:
Warm-up: Loosen up your horse and get "on the aids."
The Test: Ride your chosen dressage test in a formal 20 x 60 setting, judged by Alison.
The Feedback: A face-to-face review of your scoresheet. Alison will highlight where you’re losing marks and provide specific exercises to improve the way of going.
Guided Re-ride: Ride the test (or key movements) again with Alison’s coaching to feel the difference and "lock in" the improvements.
Facilities & Setup
The Arena: All tests and coaching will take place in the 20 x 60 indoor arena. This provides a focused, weather-proof environment to mimic a championship atmosphere.
Warm-up Options: * Indoor: Shared space within the main arena (if timing allows).
External Arena: An optional outdoor space is available for those who prefer to settle their horses in the fresh air before entering the "white boards."
