Test Pits at Paxton

Join the Uncovering the Tweed team for the excavation of test pits along the field margins at Paxton. We will be searching for lithics to understand the densities of finds to try and locate concentrations that could indicate underlying features.

Site hours will be between 10am and 3pm. Sign up for a day or two to try it out or come for all three! We recommend signing up for a series of consecutive days if you are able to, to get the most out the experience and try out different parts of the project.

Training in excavation and recording will be provided by archaeologists from AOC.
