Acclaimed violinist Tessa Lark will present a captivating program including original music and more.About this Event
Corigliano's Violin Sonata is the centerpiece of this program: a brilliant tour-de-force of both emotional and technical virtuosity, borne of a young John Corigliano's impassioned attempt to reverse his violinist father's disapproval of his son's choice to be a composer. Violinist-composer luminaries--and friends--Fritz Kreisler and Eugene Ysaye are also featured, along with original works by Tessa Lark directly inspired by these two fiddle legends; and Bela Bartok's evergreen Romanian Folk Dances opens the show.
