About this Event
Chef Phil returns to Tescobar with even MORE top-tier comedians in tow!
After just a few years on the scene, Tooky Kavanagh has performed coast-to-coast, headlining shows across New England, and performing at Boston's historic Wilbur Theater! She's a regular at Boston-based comedy institutions such as Laugh Boston, Nick's Comedy Stop, and lmprovBoston. Tooky has opened for a slew of prominent national acts including Hanna Einbinder, Matteo Lane, Maria Bamford , and Dave Attell. Her additional stand-up credits include: The Blue Ridge Comedy Festival; The Rogue Island Comedy Festival; HBO’s Women In Comedy Festival; The Boston Comedy Festival; Comic-In-Residence at the Comedy Studio.
Self described as an “anxious Black nerd,” Amma Marfo's unique perspective takes on current events, life as a thirty-something, and pop culture in honest, and relatable jokes. Her perfect timing and wit have allowed her to work with comics like Eric Andre, Jay Jurden, Leslie Liao, and Mia Jackson (just to name a few). Aside from performing in the New England area, she appears as a recurring panelist on The Great Pop Culture Debate podcast. She recently reached a major career milestone by headlining Boston’s storied Nick’s Comedy Stop in 2023 and 2024. As a producer, she’s a co-founder of New Normal Boston, a comedy collective dedicated to uplifting traditionally underrepresented comedians- something that we at Tescobar also prioritize. The former producer of the online comedy show "Pantry Raid Comedy," Amma has earned a name for herself through hardwork, and (albeit anxious) dedication!
Blaq Sav is a man who was born with a natural ability to make people laugh. He was a man who was presented with an opportunity, and jumped on it! A hilarious comedian, who holds the value of laughter higher than just "jokes." He understands that some times, comedy is the healthiest, and most relatable, way out of dark places; knowing that behind every joke, there is some truth. Blaq Sav helps mentor youth in whatever ways he can, and is truly a role model for children, and especially children of colour. We are honoured to welcome him to our stage this week at Tescobar!
