About this Event
Tertulia 02 aims to further this dialogue, focusing on the critical intersection of climate resilience, decarbonization policies, and the unique role Latino designers play in this evolving narrative.
The prompt for this event reflects on our dual roles: as stewards of a rich, diverse heritage facing unique environmental challenges, and as contributors to New York’s innovative climate action landscape. How does your design training and identity influence your work regarding climate change? Which climate-related projects or other efforts are you most proud of? Are there indigenous or Latin heritage cultural perspectives you bring into your work? Are there approaches to decarbonization, or resilience developed in your work that could address larger Latin American climate challenges?
The event will feature an informal setup to encourage free-flowing conversations among attendees. Each speaker will address a prompt, with up to 8 minutes to share their thoughts, supported by any audiovisual or physical materials they wish to use.
