CALLING ALL SELACHOPHILES!Join Alternative Ulstours' 'Master of the Macabre' Andrew Johnston for an illustrated Terror Talk on sharks in Irish waters to celebrate 50 years of Jaws in Belfast!
The first half of the evening will dredge up historical tales of shark sightings around Ireland's coasts, including monster visitors to Belfast Lough. Many species that would now excite scientists sadly met a violent end at the hands of homegrown 'Quints'.
The big question is often whether Ireland has great whites, and Shark! will try to provide answers.
In part two of the talk, Andrew will bite into Jaws' original run in Ulster cinemas, half a century to the night since the pioneering summer blockbuster opened at Belfast's ABC in the midst of the Troubles.
So, come along to the iconic Sunflower Public House, buy a drink, pull up a seat and let's go back in the water!
