Tern the Tide is a Creative Climate Action project funded by Creative Ireland and Irish Rail. It aims to engage the local residents of Kilcoole and the wider Wicklow area with the conservation work being done by Bird Watch Ireland for Little Terns on Kilcoole beach.We will be delivering a series of 4 free workshops for adults every Saturday afternoon from 2-5pm. They will run from the 8th-29th of June. We will explore the nature of Kilcoole beach through a variety of media; painting, sketching, collage and land art made from natural materials. It will also include expert talks from Bird Watch Ireland and a visit to the Little Tern colony. It is open to adults of all ages and abilities and no previous experience is necessary.
Applicants must be over 18 and reside in Kilcoole or the surround areas (Wicklow town, Delgany, Greystones etc). Numbers are limited, to apply please email [email protected] or fill in this form
This project is a recipient of the creative climate action fund, an initiative from the Creative Ireland Programme, and is also partnering with Irish Rail and Bird Watch Ireland.
