the informal “salon” gatherings of enlightenment europe, a haven for for music, learning, and friendship, need not be a relic of the 18th century. we at twisted pearl, dedicated to reviving the musical environment of the salon in montréal, know that a consistent flow of new music is an integral part of sustaining a living creative community. and, being peppered with skilled composers who regularly include their pieces in our programs, we’re happy to host as our last show of the season our first show dedicated entirely to contemporary music, composed in various historically informed styles. this concert is both an ending and a new beginning for us and the montréal salon, and its proof of the living tradition we live to share with you! relax, have a glass of wine, and experience the bright future of music with us.
