Whether you’re a taco enthusiast, or a tequila aficionado, the evening promises to entice your taste buds, as Chef Tim creates tacos to complement some amazing Tequila. Wednesday, July 24th is National Tequila Day, but we still want to celebrate tequila just a little late.
Here’s a list of the amazing tequilas we will be tasting:
Tapatio Reposado Tequila – The sweetness of the cooked Agave flavors predominate; herbal, pepper, slightly smoked with notes of caramel, cocoa, vanilla and nuts (walnut, peanut, hazelnut). A very soft & smooth, yet spicy finish.
Milagro Anejo Tequila – 100% blue agave tequila which is a blend of spirit aged 12-14 months in American oak and 18-24 months in French oak barrels. This Añejo is an intriguing mix of sweetness and oak that is smooth and full-bodied. Maple, chocolate, vanilla and deep oak tones with a spicy, dry finish
Ilegal Reposado Mezcal – Each lot of Ilegal Mezcal Reposado is aged to taste for 6 months, using a combination of new and used American oak, medium char barrels. Our barrels are sourced from Kelvin Cooperage, a family-run business since 1963. Caramelized pear and bitter orange on the nose. Clove, butterscotch, and hints of vanilla on the palate.
Dulce Vida Anejo Tequila Mansion Barrel Pick – Meaning “aged,” Dulce Vida Añejo is aged in select American Oak whiskey barrels. Dulce Vida Añejo has a rich, golden amber color with aromas of vanilla and cinnamon. It’s full-bodied flavor and smooth finish are best experienced as a sipping tequila.
