Join us in the new Kirtland Event Center to improve your doubles strategy.
Doubles is a game about strategy. Play on a fantastic court this fall where weather is never an issue. The focus of the class is to give players instruction on doubles strategy, for example:
- Basic Formation
- Learning to move correctly
- Serving
- Variety of shots
- Court position
- And more!
Jon Thompson, Kirtland faculty member, has generously donated his time to share one of his passions outside of the classroom. He brings a positive teaching style to the court in addition to his experience as a member of two NAIA state champion tennis teams at Alma College and volunteer coach for the Grayling High School team.
This session begins on Oct. 18 and continues for 4 Fridays. It meets from noon to 2 p.m. and participants have the option to sign up for the follow-up program, Improving Your Volleys starting in November. Participation is limited to 4 students. This is an in-person course that meets at the Kirtland Grayling location.
