On Monday 15th September it’s the start of something special at Tennent’s Laughter Lounge as we book acclaimed professional comedian Scott Agnew to headline our show at Tennent’s Bar, and somehow entry is still completely free! Hosted by our resident compere Paddy Linton, this is a night to trigger city-wide FOMO.Scott Agnew is a critically acclaimed 20 year veteran of the stand-up circuit both nationally and internationally, has been a guest on BBC Scotland's Comedy Underground and regular panellist on BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking The News. His comedy CV is as packed as his work diary, having won Scottish Comedian of the Year, Best Show 2017 and nominated for Best Headliner 2018 at the Scottish Comedy Awards. Other gongs include Winner of Icon Entertainer of The Year 2017, 2020 Proud Scotland Entertainer of The Year Award and Attitude Magazines 84th Most Eligible Gay Bachelor In The World 2017 (still single but inexplicably dropped out the chart run down).

Your host for the evening is Tennent’s Laughter Lounge resident compere Paddy Linton. Paddy mixes storytelling from his working class upbringing with observations about Glasgow’s leafier suburbs. His impressive stand-up skills have fast become highly in demand at some of the best comedy shows in the country. In March 2025 he was chosen to open for Darren Connell at Glasgow’s legendary King’s Theatre.
