Note e Parole (“Of notes and words”) is a program of 17th century Italian chamber music, collaboratively curated by four nationally-recognized artists from TENET Vocal Artists’ celebrated roster. The 17th century was a period of heightened intellectualism and musical experimentation that drew stronger connections between music and poetry. Step into the world of heart-wrenching dissonances, quick wit, and lush poetry as TENET brings the music of Claudio Monteverdi and Barbara Strozzi to life with a varied program of solos, duets, and trios for voices and continuo. This program runs 75 minutes with no intermission.
