Born in Belfast, Tender Claws is now based in Liverpool. As an independent alternative rock artist, she’s inspired by artists that she grew up listening to such as Queens of the Stone Age, Pixies and many grunge acts of the 90s; as well as punk pioneers like Iggy Pop and Adam & the Ants. Her resulting gritty, raw sound is accompanied by her dark, yet sometimes banshee-like, vocals. She began releasing music in 2024 with singles ‘Anglerfish’, ‘I’m a Leech’ and most recently ‘Inferno’. Inferno tells the story of an intense relationship between a stranded wayfarer and their isolated saviour…turned survivor and captor, inspired by classic gothic novels. She is currently working on more releases for 2025.
