These EBT-core darlings offer up the kind of spirit that keeps their hometown of LA on its feet. A fountain of borderline heavenly alt-gaze hook filled tracks, Marni is a gem of a project. Recently signed to Portland's own Pleasure Tapes along Flesh and Bones Records, they are joined by How Strange It Is and Helens.
The debut full length album, ‘Nighttime Sunshine,’ is a true feat of collaboration. At the heart of the record, lies a bold fusion of genres - from the infectious rhythms of disco, the emotive melodies of synth-pop, to the smooth sounds of yacht rock, and the raw energy of alt rock.
