Ten Minute Detour has been playing soulful indie rock for over a decade, showcasing an energetic live show rich with vocal harmonies and soaring guitars. Formed in Calgary in 2013, TMD has been playing stages across Canada for over 11 years. Their blend of indie rock, Americana and southern soul is reminiscent of older bands like America and CSNY, while brandishing the indie rock energy of modern-day groups such as Local Natives and Cage the Elephant. On the heels of their most recent album 'Golden Tapestry', the band spent some time in Montreal working on their next set of songs. With veteran producer Marcus Paquin (Local Natives, Tim Baker) at the helm, TMD tracked three songs that encompass the same warmth and groove that you feel when walking into Montreal’s studio Mix Art. With three separate releases set for Summer 2024, as well as a new Canadian label partner in Neon Moon Records, Ten Minute Detour is poised to continue their upwards trajectory to becoming a staple in the Canadian music scene.
