Originally formed as a darkwave duo in 2021 under the name Temptrix-13 and performed solo live throughout Austin, Houston and The Rio Grande Valley, Temptrix is the evolution of a solo femme goth project comprising of live synthesizers, guitar, song and dance performed by producer, musician & DJ - Ash Cantu. Ash performed their first show opening for Urban Heat in late 2021 and has since opened for various other large goth acts throughout Texas. Temptrix is currently working on an album to be released on all streaming platforms in November of 2024, which will include solo music production by Temptrix, collaborative songs produced by L.A. acts such as Fevr and Good Ridddance, along with refined songs from their 2021 EP.Temptrix blends influences of modern day EBM/darkwave with post-punk/shoegaze from the 1980's into their own interpretation of poetic lyricism on the feminine experience of romance, grief and longing in a post-pandemic world.
