About this Event
This is a 4.5 hour class designed to educate employers and employees on heat and cold stress prevention in the workplace. This is a free training developed under a Susan Harwood Targeted Topic Training Grant.
Topics include:
- Risk factors for heat stress
- Sign and symptoms of heat-related illnessses
- Response and first aid measures for heat-related illnesses in the workplace
- How to prevent heat stress in the workplace
- Cold stress disorders, response, and first-aid
- How to prevent cold stress in the workplace
