Whether reading a story in the newspaper, seeing a clip on the TV, or hearing a segment on the radio, readers, viewers, and listeners learn the names of the writers, reporters, and hosts to help share the news. But what about the editors, those working behind the scenes to help tell the stories that inform us from the local-level to the national and global events that shape our days? What goes into to shaping a 30-second clip, or a 3-minute segment from minutes, if not hours, of footage? Video Editor Michael Allen, who grew up in the lower eastside of Erie, Pennsylvania, will tell his journey from college to Erie's WSEE to ABC News in Washington, D.C., with an array of work in between. Location: Jefferson Educational Society - 3207 State St, Erie, PA 16508
Date/Time: Thursday, September 25, 7-8:30PM
