About this Event
In honor of the new exhibit LGBTQ Jews in the Federal City: A Century of Celebration, Activism, and Change, the Capital Jewish Museum is teaming up with Story District to offer a fun, interactive workshop exploring the art of personal storytelling.
This one-hour session is open to anyone interested in discovering how to turn personal experiences into powerful, true stories. You’ll learn how to identify a meaningful moment, structure a compelling narrative, and begin crafting it in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
No storytelling experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to reflect. While this workshop is not an audition, participants may be invited to further develop their story for a live storytelling showcase at the Museum later this year.
Whether you’re connected to the LGBTQ+ Jewish community or simply interested in storytelling and community building, this is a chance to learn, connect, and celebrate powerful voices.
