The Centre for Community and Consulting Services at the British University in Egypt is now providing a TEFL course (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) for anyone who's interested in pursuing a career as an English Teacher. A TEFL course covers topics including teaching language skills, grammar, lesson planning and classroom management. A TEFL course will teach you how to:
1) Teach English Language Skills and systems: Teach the major elements of language learning: reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary and pronunciation.
2) Simplify English Grammar: Simplify complex English grammar concepts for ELLs (English Language Learners).
3) Plan Lessons: Plan and deliver effective lessons that meet class learning objectives and promote productive learning.
4) Manage a Classroom: Manage your classroom and student behaviour to create a welcoming and safe learning environment.
5) Identify Learning Styles: Identify different learning styles and adapt lessons to suit students and their needs.
6) Build Effective Learning Materials: Find, adapt and personalise a wide variety of text-based and digital materials for use in the classroom.
The course is divided into 2 modules. Each module is 48 hours long.

on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
