About this Event
The Tees Valley is an area of significant economic opportunity with local regeneration programmes and exciting developments, all driving economic growth and creating more career opportunities than ever before. Innovative local businesses, like yours, based right here are leading the UK and the world, but young people still think they need to go to cities like London, Manchester or Leeds to succeed.
Experiences of the workplace are vital to highlighting the fantastic career opportunities available locally. As well as raising aspirations, these employer encounters will encourage and inform our talented local young people about the future careers available in our amazing region.
This Tees Valley Careers Hub Conference offers a chance for local business leaders to network and meet with Careers Leaders from Schools and Colleges across the region, with a focus on collaboration and partnership working to best support young people across the region.
We will be exploring ways for businesses to deliver experiences of the workplace, showcasing best practice examples through two spotlight sessions with KTS Academy and Egglescliffe School.
You will also hear an update from The Careers & Enterprise Company, which is the national body for careers education in England, on national policy. John Yarham will share CEC’s expectations around workplace experiences and introduce the Equalex model that aims to ensure that young people's experiences build on each other throughout their education.
This event is aimed at Tees Valley employers and Careers Leaders from secondary schools and colleges across the region.
Book your free place now and join us to create invaluable experiences for the workforce of tomorrow.
