About this Event
The sensitive topic of “the big C” will be on the agenda at October’s Tees Business LIVE as part of the launch of a new workplace campaign initiative, Talk Cancer Teesside.
Businesspeople from across the region are invited to attend the event – sponsored by Yarm-based HR Alchemy – at Acklam Hall in Middlesbrough on Thursday, October 10.
The unique panel discussion will focus on the campaign aims and the challenge of handling and supporting those within the workplace either directly or indirectly affected by cancer, with local charity leader Bianca Robinson bravely agreeing to join the experts to discuss how she has twice overcome cancer.
Those taking part in the panel discussion are:
• Nicky McKenna, relationship manager, Cancer Research UK
• Angela Beecroft, clinical nutritionist
• Tara Evans, counsellor, Teesside Hospice
• Jo Davies, founder, Talk Cancer Teesside & MD, HR Alchemy
• Bianca Robinson, CEO, CEO Sleepout
Jo Davies is the driving force behind Talk Cancer Teesside. Managing director of event sponsor HR Alchemy, Jo works closely with clients across all sectors of business to ensure they are in tune with the practices of running a modern workplace and are able to deal with the needs and wants of today’s employees.
Participating businesses will be given an official registration and certificate.
Tees Business LIVE starts with networking over refreshments at 10.30am, with an official welcome from organisers Tees Business at 11.30am. The event ends at 1pm.
Spaces are limited to a maximum of two for those businesses who are not clients of Tees Business, while clients have no maximum.
