Teens Bollywood Dance in TORRANCE (LA) with Rangeela - Sep-Nov

We are offering a 11-class Series that will cover Bollywood dance! Enroll your teens to learn high-energy fusion blending the cinematic flair of Bollywood with the grace and storytelling of Indian semi-classical styles.

About the instructor: Yami Joshi

Yami Joshi is trained in Bollywood dance (15+ years), has her Bharatanatyam certification (20+ years), and experience in Odissi training (5 years). She is thrilled to share this ability in the community to bring out self-expression and build confidence through dance. As she was progressing through her corporate career, she loved all the chances she got to choreograph for weddings, dance for charity, and take dance classes in Salsa, Bachata, Contemporary, Zumba, and Kathak. In 2021, she began her education to become a R-DMT (Registered Dance Movement Therapy) at Kinections, a freestanding institute in the USA that offers all the dance/movement therapy courses required for certification. She left her corporate role in the summer 2021 and has been focusing full-time on her dance therapy certification as well as building her dance organization, Beatroot, to teach dance around the world. In January 2023, she hosted her first dance class in Los Angeles (in-person and virtually). Yami is thrilled to be applying her Beatroot philosophy to Bollywood dance at Rangeela Dance Company!
