About this Event
Need a space away from home to study and get homework done (or any other quiet work), decompress, eat snacks, and/or hang out with friends? Come on by to the Kaimukī Public Library meeting room! Beginning September 7, 2025, the Library will be hosting a Teen Readers Lounge on the first Sunday of every month from 1pm — 4pm. Music will be playing to create an inviting and relaxing environment. Students are welcome to bring their own food, listen to their own music, and bring CDs of their choice to play for the room as well. With school back in session, the first Sunday of every month can set the tone for the rest of it—make new friends, discover a new interest or reconnect with an older one, set aside time to indulge in reading or your latest crafting hobby; the possibilities are endless and the choice is yours!
This recurring program series is for student ages 12 to 18. Registration is not required, and students can drop by anytime during the time of the event. For more information, please stop by the Reference Desk or give us a call at (808) 733–8422.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity should contact library staff as soon as possible. Advance requests 48 hours or more before the event are encouraged, but not required.
