This introduction to the fundamentals of drawing will explore various media and techniques with the subconscious brain to spark imagination and develop a visual language that can lead to many other artistic expressions. Students will be equipped with the knowledge to understand and use different wet and dry media, and will be introduced to line, shape, and form through the practice of still life, landscape, and figure drawing in a supportive environment.
About the Instructor: Roger Ferreira's art seeks to educate and engage others in a discourse about inclusiveness, social justice and revealing the beauty of the environment. He recently exhibited his work at the Art Gallery of Hamilton with his son and international artist Kareem Ferreira. After teaching for years at Columbia International College he continues to teach at the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board.
