TEDxVitosha: COUNTDOWN is part of the global TED initiative to champion and accelerate solutions to the climate crisis, turning ideas into action.The goal: To build a better future by cutting greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030 in the race to a zero-carbon world – a world that is safer, cleaner and fairer for everyone.
Countdown seeks to answer five fundamental, interconnected questions (in the field of Energy, Transport, Materials, Food, Nature) that help inform a blueprint for a cleaner future.
We are bringing together scientists, activists, entrepreneurs, investors, artists, government officials and opinion leaders to find the most effective, evidence-based ideas out there.
Each of our guest will have a comfortable seating place at a table of eight, enjoying their night on a 5-star meal prepared by the chef of our host Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia.
