TEDxUStreetSalon presents The Peoples Choice Talent Showcase

Welcome to this year's Talent Showcase!

Have you ever had a great idea but kept it to yourself because you were afraid to speak up? You are not alone. Many people struggle with self-doubt and fear of failure when it comes to public speaking. Every year TEDxUStreetWomen hosts a Talent Showcase where we want to give the stage to individuals with little or no experience in public speaking to audition to be the next TEDx speaker.

At our Talent Showcase, we believe that everyone has a story to tell, a talent to share, and a voice that deserves to be heard. Whether you’re a seasoned public speaker or someone who has never stepped foot on a stage before, the Talent Showcase welcomes you. We give participants an opportunity to present their ideas on the prestigious stage in 5 minutes. During these 5 minutes, they strive to convince the curation team and the YOU audience members) of their TED-worthy speech. The winner will get the chance to stand on the main TEDxUStreetWomen stage.

This year's theme is The Future of Global Democracy. As democracies worldwide face mounting challenges, communities across the globe are mobilizing to reform systems and reignite civic culture. We are excited to open the stage for individuals to use their voice to start conversation around the top of Global Demcracy. We are looking for people who can spark a new kind of conversation focused on realistic pathways towards a more vibrant and equitable future.
