About this Event
We are seemingly separated by many borders between places, people, and ideas. These physical and invisible borders take many shapes and forms, but what happens when we think outside the boxes to which we’re confined? When we look beyond our borders, we uncover limitless possibilities that can introduce us to a new world of diverse outlooks and innovative mindsets. We may even come to understand the reasons why some borders are necessary. Join us as our TEDxMarshallU speakers challenge our ideas about the world and help us explore how going “Beyond Borders” can inform, shape, and redefine our human experience.
Since 2019, TEDxMarshallU has brought “ideas worth sharing” to Marshall University and sparked meaningful conversations in our community. Organized by student interns in the Honors College, the theme of this season’s event, Beyond Borders, is inspired by MU’s 2024-2025 HLC Quality Initiative theme: Building a Stronger and More Inclusive Marshall Community.
