Join us for a day of big ideas, local voices and inspiring stories, right here in Aberystwyth, created by the community, for the community.

TEDxAberystwyth is community-led, non-profit and entirely volunteer-driven, TED-like conference, featuring a programme of carefully curated talks with novel and thought-provoking ideas from the arts, science, technology, culture, environment, society and beyond. Join us on the 28th February for our 8th event!

During the day, you will hear multiple short TEDx-style talks, professionally staged with high-quality sound, lighting and filming to create the full TEDx experience, from the atmosphere in the room, to the talks that will live on beyond the room.

This year’s title is "Verifying you are human".

When things around us change rapidly, what makes us human? What should we be giving our attention to in 2026?

Your ticket helps cover the real cost of putting on a high-quality TEDx experience and keeping it accessible, helping ensure that ideas worth spreading can be shared right here in Aberystwyth. We worked hard to keep the prices as low as possible, while still delivering a professional and welcoming event for everyone.

Ideas should be accessible, so this year we are introducing two new ticket tiers, in addition to 🎟️ Standard tickets:

🎟️ Concession tickets for under-16s, students, those on low-income and unwaged.

🎟️ Supporter tickets help subsidise concession tickets and keeping the event accessible to all. Choose this option if you are able to support the wider community.

About TEDx: In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, volunteer self-organized and non-profit events. It brings a TED-like experience of multidisciplinary talks from inspiring speakers.
