🎤 Techstars Startup Weekend: Pitch Finale Night 🚀
Presented in collaboration with the Calgary Food Bank & YYC Tech Gives
After 54 hours of intense collaboration, innovation, and problem-solving, the top Startup Weekend teams are taking the stage! Watch as they pitch their ideas to a panel of expert judges — competing for the top spot while creating real solutions for food security in Calgary.
This year’s Startup Weekend is all about Feeding Innovation, and we’re proud to be partnering with the Calgary Food Bank to spark ideas that make a difference in our community.

We’re also kicking off the season — a long-standing initiative uniting Calgary’s tech community to give back where it matters most.
Since 2010, YYC Tech Gives has:
💰 Donated nearly $2 million to the Calgary Food Bank
🥫 Provided the equivalent of over $8 million worth of food
🤝 Brought together 50+ tech companies (and growing!) to make an impact
This is a free event, but we’re encouraging everyone attending to bring a donation or now or when you arrive.
Your free ticket gets you in the door — but your donation helps fill plates and fuel change. 😉 100% of all donations go directly to the Calgary Food Bank.

📅 Event Schedule:
🕔 5:30 PM – Doors Open | Grab a name tag, mingle, and find your spot—presentation starts at 6:00 PM sharp!
🎤 6:15 PM – 8:00 PM | Pitch Finale: Teams have 5 minutes to present their startup ideas to our expert judges.
🎉 8:00 PM – 8:30 PM | Networking, photos on the pitch stage and celebrations while judges deliberate.
🏆 8:30 PM | Winners announced & final reflections to close out the weekend!
🚪 9:00 PM | The Platform Innovation Centre closes.

You agree that you are responsible in the event of any accidents or damages that you cause. You also agree to not hold Techstars Startup Weekend, Platform Calgary, the volunteer team, or any of the event supporters liable for any loss, damage, injury, or any other unforeseeable incident.
By participating in the event, you grant Platform Calgary permission to capture photos/videos of the event and use them for marketing purposes, so we can continue to offer amazing Techstars Startup Weekends to the Calgary ecosystem.
