Technology is a Post COVID-19 Environment Online Workshop
Technology has evolved during 2021 stay at home environments. Firms have adapted providing technology to users at home, online connections, remote access, and a mantra of “Doing more with less.”
One clear trend is the limitations of the “last mile” and digital divide. In telemedicine and distant learning, Rural America has been left behind. Large areas of rural America are still on dialup connections, and telecom providers have no interest in providing digital service to small remote populations.
Developing a nationwide infrastructure to support digitized distributed model is necessary to stay current on a global competitive world.
The COVID-19 pandemic will have a long term impact on the global economy, daily lives, and new technological opportunities.
