Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a therapeutic massage technique designed to stimulate the lymphatic system to improve the flow of lymph fluid throughout the body. This gentle, non-invasive treatment involves rhythmic, circular movements that encourage the lymph to move toward lymph nodes, where it can be filtered and processed. It is commonly used to reduce swelling and inflammation caused by conditions such as lymphedema, sports injuries, surgery, and other medical treatments.
In this interactive hands-on BASIC Introductory class, you will learn:
1. Description of the Modality
2. Account of its historical development
3. Benefits & Contraindications
4. Specific techniques for basic training
• Please wear comfortable flexible clothing.
• Certificates of completion will be issued at the end of the class.
• You Do NOT need to bring a table, we have plenty!
CEs only good for Pennsylvania Licensed Massage Therapists – CEs approved by the Pa State Board of Massage Therapy.
