Cupping is a therapeutic technique used in massage therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. Cupping is believed to promote healing, improve blood flow, and relieve muscle tension. Cupping is thought to work by increasing blood circulation and stimulating the flow of energy (qi) within the body. It is often used to address conditions such as muscle pain, stiffness, and inflammation. Cupping can also be combined with other massage techniques to enhance its effects. In this class you will be introduced to the basic techniques of cupping and how to apply them to your clients.

In this interactive hands-on BASIC Introductory class, you will learn:

1. Description of the Modality

2. Account of its historical development

3. Benefits & Contraindications

4. Specific techniques for basic training

Please wear comfortable flexible clothing.

Certificates of completion will be issued at the end of the class. Please use the name you want on your certificate when you register.

You Do NOT need to bring a table, we have plenty!

CEs only good for Pennsylvania Licensed Massage Therapists – CEs approved by the Pa State Board of Massage Therapy. This class will be with current massage students at the WIofCC however only licensed massage therapists will earn continuing education credits.
