Keynote speaker, Oli Kaberry - Head of Business Development at Jones Food Co. explains how robotic advancements have enabled Europe’s largest operating vertical farm to flourish. Oli describes how Jones Food Co. grow the freshest produce in a sustainable way, locally and affordably.
Simon Pearson, Professor of Agri-Food Technology at the University of Lincoln, follows by discussing his research in the field of agri-technology, bringing together academic and industrial experts striving to improve technological, environmental and human capital aspects of the food industry. This research embraces a diverse range of agri-technology applications including robotic systems, automation and design for manufacture of integrated e-hubs for agricultural vehicles.
Vidyaneth Gururajan (Vee), Executive Board Director at Branston Ltd, discusses the merits of AI technology within Branston Ltd and how introducing robotics has optimised the supply of fresh produce and reduced wastage.
