Research shows young children who spend more than 30 minutes a day on screens (like tablets), even if using educational apps, can experience decreases “equivalent to a full grade level” in reading skills, comprehension levels and emotional regulation compared to peers who spend that same time playing outdoors or reading (or being read to) from paper books.
