Join us at The Public Record Office of Northern Ireland for the launch of Fiacc100 Exhibition of artworks and photographs. The exhibition and lecture by Fiona Gault are part of the wider FIACC100 programme which marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Belfast born poet, Pádraic Faicc.

Fiona Gault is a PhD student at Maynooth University with expertise in
Modern literature and Psychoanalytic theory. She has studied the work
of Pádraic Fiacc over many years and is a passionate advocate
for his work.

The lecture by Fiona Gault will explore the legacy and work of poet Pádraic Fiacc
and his placement within the cannon of Irish and International Literature. It will
examine misconceptions and paradoxes that surround the poet’s legacy through
the perspective of his, so far, under examined formative influences.

Photographs, Paintings and Illustrations relating to the poet are displayed in a
dazzling installation curated from the ‘Pádraic Fiacc Archive’. Inspirational artists
from Belfast, Dublin and America are represented.
