Looking for a unique and engaging team-building experience? Gather your coworkers, employees, or a group of friends for a hands-on creative challenge in our wood shop!
Under the guidance of experienced instructors, team members learn the art of woodworking, selecting from various types of wood, and employing techniques such as sanding, and finishing to craft their own custom cutting boards. As they work side by side, individuals share ideas, problem-solve, and support one another, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and teamwork. This hands-on experience encourages creativity and communication while allowing participants to take home a beautifully crafted cutting board that serves as a reminder of their collaborative effort and the bonds forged during the process. The class not only enhances skills but also cultivates a sense of pride and accomplishment among team members.
No prior experience is required—our expert instructor will guide you through the process, ensuring a safe and rewarding experience for all.
What You’ll Learn:
- Safely using woodshop tools
- Matching wood properties with intended use
- Selecting different types of glues used in woodworking and when to use them
- Applying and maintaining finishes and learning which finishes are food-safe
