Learn creative activities to make your language classes engaging with a focus on how to teach listening, speaking, reading, &writing skills.
About this Event

Ever been in a situation where your students are aware they need to learn foundational concepts that are not always fun? Where they go "Ughhh, teacher. WHY? Can we do this tomorrow instead?"

You feel bad because you know they need it and it is part of the curriculum, so you dread having to teach it. You end up just teaching the structure and having your students do worksheets.

But the truth is, it doesn't have to be this way.

What if you could actually teach concepts such as grammar in a fun way? Where your students are actually participating, engaging and just curious to learn more?

Imagine when you introduce a new grammar point, your students perk up because they're wondering.. what does my teacher have for me today? What am I going to learn? How am I going to practice?

Well, guess what?

Starting July until October, we are offering 8 workshops (4 in-person and 4 online).
We will share fun engaging activities we used in our own classrooms to teach the different English skills (reading, writing, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, speaking, and grammar)

....and it doesn't matter whether you are teaching Engilsh for academic purposes, or general English. All these activities can easily be adapted and applied in different contexts and levels.

.... because we are here to take "boring" dense content and make it fun for not only your students but also yourself!
So, let's reignite the spark in language learning because when students are having fun, they forget they are actually "studying" and are able to remember what is being taught.
Our general agenda for this workshop and all future ones. They will last 90 minutes.

1) Warm-up/Icebreakers

2) 3-4 activities to practice the skill (depending on time)

3) Brainstorm more game ideas with other teachers

4) Reflect on experience
