Choje Lama Wangchuk Topden is the son of Khenchen Thrangu
Rinpoche’s sister and was raised in Nepal. After monastic
ordination, he studied at Vajra Vidya Institute and then completed
the traditional three-year retreat. He served for years as
Rinpoche’s secretary and attendant. In 2018, H.H. Karmapa
bestowed on him the title Choje Lama, after which Rinpoche
appointed him his regent. Choje Lama Wangchuk teaches
worldwide and oversees all of Rinpoche’s dharma institutions,
schools, and clinics
