📖 Teaching Tuesday: Mahjong & Movie Night

📅 Every Tuesday starting August 26th

🕠 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM

📍 260 Kearny St, San Francisco

🀄️ Learn to play mahjong or sharpen your skills with hands-on teaching from our host and instructor, Cindy, who will be there to guide you every step of the way. Just $10 to play and learn, includes free popcorn. 🍿

Seniors play FREE.

🎥 Not playing? No problem. It’s free to hang out, watch the games, and enjoy Chinese films on the big screen. We’ll be playing your favorite movies, from timeless classics to modern hits.

🫂 All ticket proceeds go directly to our host and towards venue costs to keep this event running. Tickets will be sold on Eventbrite. If you wish to skip the extra fees, you may pay cash in person directly to the host. We’ll be hosting upstairs, and depending on RSVPs for the week, we may open up our MJ Den for the night.

✌️ Compared to our louder, music-filled weekend events, Tuesdays are a more laid back experience, a chance to slow down, focus, and truly embrace Chinese culture. We want this to be a safe, welcoming space for the community where both youth and elders can come together. Whether you’re learning for the first time or a seasoned player, you’re invited to join us.

It’s amazing that San Francisco can indulge in Chinese culture, as the Chinese community has played a huge role in building the city and continues to be a vital part of its rich history and culture today.
