This 3-hour course is designed to give you the tools needed to help your athletes improve their performance utilizing olympic lifts.
About this Event

The Olympic Lifts are a valuable tool to have for all coaches. This 3-hour seminar is designed to give you the basic tools needed to help your athletes safely improve their performance, no matter who you coach. The Olympic Lifts and their variations can be used safely in all populations, whether that's strength and conditioning, CrossFit, another specific competitive sport (including combat sports), or general fitness.

In this course, we'll cover:

  • Two different teaching progressions
  • Step-by-Step guide to perform the Snatch, Clean, and Jerk
  • Common faults and how to fix them
  • Variations of the lifts to help maximize your athletes' training time
  • Coaching theory and reasoning behind when and when not to use the Olympic lifts

We'll also end with a Q&A to answer any questions you may have, including athlete or program-specific questons on athletes you work with. Feel free to bring videos of your athletes performing the lifts to get feedback.

After the seminar, anyone who wants to come is invited to head to dinner at Upland Brewing in Carmel. You will be responsible for your own meal and drinks, as this is not included in the seminar, but we've learned that we love to keep the disucssion going and continue talking shop with other coaches!

There are no refunds for this event.

Please email [email protected] with any questions.

The MASS Seminar Series is aimed at creating a collaborative educational environment for coaches who want to get better together. Most sessions are led by Coach Kyle Moran unless otherwise specified.
