Join Chris Mitchell for a weekend of learning how to teach meditation. We will discuss and practice teaching a variety of meditation techniques to use both during Yoga classes and during any stand-alone opportunities to share a guided meditation.In this training, we will learn about:
- the benefits of a consistent meditation practice
- teaching from your own personal practice
- the use of voice, setting, and sound
- mantra meditations
- breath meditation and the use of pranayama during meditation
- body scan and sensation use during meditation
- Metta (Loving Kindness) Meditation
We will practice combining elements of different techniques to support any given yoga class or other setting you may be called upon to share a guided meditation.
Included in this training is an outline for my 5-week meditation, 101 series. We will also use the last 1-2 hours of this weekend together for each participant to lead a 5-8 minute guided meditation.

Christina Mitchell, MS, RN, CNM, RYT500. Chris is trained in Prenatal yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Healthy Aging, and Meditation instruction. She considers herself a life-long learner and loves studying the spiritual aspects of Yoga philosophy. It is her belief that Yoga is for EveryBODY and that its benefits are accessible to all.
