 Do you want a gain experience teaching young learners in Spain?

UKLC has once again secured European Social Funding via Erasmus+ for the eighth time in a row. This programme allows us to run our teacher training project “Leaders in Language”.

The project aims to give newly qualified CELTA teachers an intensive course in teaching Younger Learners followed by a month-long voluntary placement in a school in Spain. It’s an absolutely fabulous project which will give you the opportunity of a lifetime and the chance to gain invaluable experience working in the Spanish School system.

1.15pm - 1.30pm (approx) - UKLC presentation

1.30-1.45pm (approx) - Q & A

1.45pm - 2pm (approx) - CELTA presentation by Teaching House

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

No ID needed; for the CELTA course and the UKLC project, however, candidates must be 18 years of age or older

Why is this event happening online rather than in person?

For convenience, to reach a wider audience and for health and safety reasons. Please do not travel to our school for this event! It will take place online via Zoom using the following link:

I already have my CELTA. Is this event for me?

Yes. If you would like to hear more about teaching internationally, apply and work for a quality language school and ask questions to an experienced ELT recruiter, this is the place to be.

I am not a UK citizen. Am I eligible for the program?

Yes, as long as you are a UK resident, you are eligible to apply for the UKLC program. All nationalities welcome to take CELTA!

Do I have to be a "native speaker" to join the program?

No! As long as you have a high C1 level of English or above, you are eligible to take the CELTA. The Erasmus plus program is also open to all residents of the UK, whether English is your first language or not.
