Teaching for Democracy when Democracy is on the Ballot: Educator Panel

Social studies educators are charged with preserving democracy through their teaching. How should they accomplish this goal, particularly during a challenging electoral season?

Come join us for an engaging discussion with a panel of experienced educators on the challenges and opportunities of "teaching for democracy" during this election season. Each educator will share lessons and resources that engage students and foster participatory democratic skills!

Organized by Teachers College's Program in Social Studies Education. Co-organized by the Programs in English Education, Philosophy and Education, and Politics and Education, and the Cyphers for Justice. Co-Sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Diversity and Community Affairs.
